Let Us Play!

Let’s go play! We know your struggle, so sing it with us! “Those who have not yet learned to live, their opinions and judgements matter not! So. Let. Me. Play!”

Let me frolic about the fields whistling mimicry of the bird’s songs. Let me look between the blades of grass, that I might observe the creatures beneath my plane. Let me look out at new lands with the call to adventure ringing loudly ahead.

Let me play with these silly tubes that weep and gnash! Let me paint color over their porcelain faces, lest another day of their life go by in seriousness!

Let them be angry, let them be happy, let them be sad, as I dance my courtship display with the universe. Nothing can come between me and experience. No ideas, nor forms, nor stories. Let me plunge into the depths of the unknown, looking for treasures unfound.

Let me wade through the shallows, spotting the treasures which abound, unseen by those without eyes. Let me find the sacred from dirt to mind, in others and myself, in structures and nature, in the material and the immaterial, in emotion, imagination, and rationality.

Let me see light in all that is dark. Let me find fullness in that which is empty. Let me find presence amid everything, everything while present, and eternity in presence.

Let me see love in the fire of hatred. Let me find strength in the warmth of love. Let me grow strong in my love for all, that my light might shine imagination on the rational and rationality on the imaginative.

Let it fill the unfulfilled, that its presence might ripple into eternity, and that the warmth of my love might reach far enough to envelop all.”

And thus we shall play!

So let it be!

Let me be,

Here.

Now.
