The Unboxed Life
If I were to go by the content of other creators, and if I were to take the advice of other creators, our content would appear a lot more consistent! I would even strongly wager that we would grow more because of it!
See, professional creators know that the algorithm doesn’t just model what it does with your post on that post’s qualities alone, but in relation to the other posts you’ve posted and your current engagement. This is true to greater or lesser degrees for each platform, and it’s part of the reason I believe YouTube has given us a big ol’ middle finger.
Writers write. Vloggers vlog. Some shoot adventure content. Some are all ideas. Some are just mindfulness. Some are just motorcycle riding or skydiving. Usually their content range is much more honed in. It’s predictable for the algorithm and the viewers!
We reject this for the mission and message. We are real people, having real but extraordinary experiences, and growing more nuanced by the day. We want you to grow with us. We know that to newcomers this can seem a little alien at first, but with more experience of it comes more appreciation for it.
Nuance can be fun. It gets us out of our box and helps us play with the world in a less serious, more accepting manner. To have more angles and ideas to pull from means novel interaction over rigid interaction.
We also want to share the HUMAN journey with you. You see me write stoic reflections, emotional reflections, philosophical deep dives, adventure stories, fairy tales, spiritual wut-thu-huh’s, and some of psychology's best insights to understanding ourselves and how to live better within.
Because the stoics, psychologists, philosophers, and weavers of myth, are not gods nor even the heroes we imagine them to be. They struggle more or less, they are goofy at times, shaken at times, sad at times, angry at times, desirous most of the time, and say the wrong things at times. But they still have those insights which serve to better their lives and the lives of those around them.
We want to paint a better picture of human nature in everything that we do. Unless they are clinically, neurologically malformed, the people you hate have lovable qualities and love inside them, and the people you praise have that darkness common to all of us.
Plus! I’m an artist that yearns to create! It’s just… clawing its way out of me in-in everything I do… I just… JUST! HAVE TO FIND NEW WAYS TO MAKE PEOPLE LOVE EACH OTHER!
